FINALIST IN THE START-UP CATEGORY AT THE WOMEN IN BUSINESS AWARDS

Last week saw the 2019 Women in Business Awards. The evening was celebrated at The Oakley Court Hotel. This yearly event recognises talented female entrepreneurs across a wealth of sectors. Snoooze World is proud to be amongst the finalists in this year’s Start-Up category. A fantastic achievement for such a young brand. Everyone had a wonderful evening celebrating important work from a multitude of talented leaders.

The awards are sponsored by Barclays, Blake Morgan, KPMG, Hitachi Capital, Volume ai and In Cloud Solutions. It also supports the very worthy charity Smart Works. An organisation which provides high-quality interview clothing, styling, advice and interview training to women in need across the UK.

INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKERS AND WORDS TO LIVE AND WORK BY

We loved hearing from guest speaker Jay Foster, founder and managing director of Tech Pixies, who won the Start-Up of the Year in 2018. She talked about how she had overcome challenges and doubts to build her business. She also described what inspired her.

“When opportunity meets preparation you have to take the leap so your vision becomes a reality. You can’t give up when the going gets tough and need to find the confidence to take actions that make things happen,” she said.

The women behind the Women in Business Awards, organiser Tamsin Napier-Munn urged finalists and their guests to have the confidence to “inspire, influence and impact change.” You can read more about the Women in Business awards here.
